- So what? Removeables are INFINITELY EXPANDABLE, fixed media drives arn't.
-
- For example, I currently have four SCSI devices on my system, one of them
- is a Bernoulli 150 which I have six cartridges for. The idea is I have
- six drives that only take one SCSI ID. When I need more drive space I can
- simply buy another cart. You can only do this so far with fixed media
- drives, then you have to start factoring in the cost of additional SCSI
- controllers, fooling with LUN's, filling up all your slots, etc.
-
- Its a matter of preference I suppose. Removeables are not for everyone.
